My name is Melanie, and I’m a recent Media, Culture, and Communication graduate from New York University (MCC’24).
At the core of my existence is someone who strives to connect with others on an authentic level. My unique upbringing as a trilingual third-culture kid has given me the ability to tell culturally specific, rich narratives.
Whether in English, French, or Mandarin, I leverage this superpower to deliver messages through various mediums that emphasize shared human experiences and find common ground among individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds. I find fulfillment in documenting the world around me through visual media that transcends geographic boundaries.
Combined with my curious nature as an observant culture critic who seeks enjoyment in questioning the status quo, I craft content that not only executes my creative vision but also leaves a lasting impression on the audience, giving them a reason to care more in an information-saturated, digital era.
I’m passionate about connecting with others on a deeper, authentic level through storytelling. I found that the best way to do so is to create content. I have been talking about the idea of starting a site where I can showcase my creativity through prose and video for as long as I can remember. So here we go!
